How to Make Easy Homemade Spaghetti Sauce
What You’ll Need:
- Large skillet (I prefer to use cast iron)
- Medium sauce pan
- Colander
- Wooden spoon
Ingredients:
- 15 oz of tomato sauce
- 6 oz of tomato paste
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp of Herbs de Provence
- 1 TBS of parsley
- 2 tsp of cumin
- 2 tsp of basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 TBS of sugar (I prefer to use raw cane sugar)
Instructions:
- Brown the beef in a large skillet (I prefer to use cast iron) over medium heat.
- Once fully cooked, strain the beef of as much grease as possible. I like to do this by resting a colander on a plate.
- Add the tomato sauce, paste, and seasonings to a medium sauce pan and bring the mixture to. a boil.
- Once it has reached the boiling point, reduce the heat and allow to simmer for 30 minutes.
- Mix the beef into the sauce and stir until well combined.
- Serve over a warm bed of noodles. Enjoy!
